We hear you, and we’ve got you covered with the annual New Skids on the Block Training Camp!
The camp will be staffed by skaters and managers of the Montreal’s All Stars team, currently ranked 20th in the WFTDA, The New Skids on the Block. Instruction will cover the full range of roller derby topics including jamming, blocking and team strategy. We highly recommend skaters to sign up with their teammates to take full advantage of the camp!
Camp coaches will include:
New Skids on the Block’s coach and roller derby announcer extraordinaire: Plastik Patrik.
Team Canada women’s captain KonnichiWOW, and skaters Jess Bandit, Demanda Lashing, Mel E Juana and Surgical Strike.
Team Canada men’s roller derby skaters The Rev and Tank.
Camp will consist of 1-hour on skates sessions and will end with scrimmaging on Sunday.
Saturday June 27th
Camp 12pm – 5pm (lunch break: 30 mins)
Sunday June 28th
Camp 10am – 5pm (lunch break: 30 mins)
The camp will end with an hour long scrimmage where campers will be invited to skate with the Montreal All Stars.
The cost of the 2-day Training Camp is $80 per day, or $150 for the weekend of 11 hours of instruction and scrimmaging.
To encourage teammates to attend together, and get the maximum out of the camp, we offer a SPECIAL GROUP DISCOUNT : 20% off for groups of 5 that sign up together, or 120$ per person instead of 150$!

Eligibility:
The Camp is designed for skaters who already know how to play roller derby. It is COED: open to both female and male skaters who have passed their WFTDA Skills Tests.
All participants will be required to have proof of insurance.
